For licensed providers

ThreadLight connects autistic adults and their families with providers who get it.

Reach clients who are actively looking for your specialty, in your area, through a channel they actually use.

Who ThreadLight is, and isn't, for.

ThreadLight works best when providers and users are well-matched. Here's who we serve, and who we're looking for.

Who our users are

  • Autistic adults seeking support, therapy, or services
  • Caregivers of autistic children, teens, and adults
  • Allies and family members helping someone navigate a diagnosis

What we look for in providers

  • Currently licensed in Pennsylvania (our launch state)
  • Neurodiversity-affirming practice
  • Actively accepting new clients
  • Responsive: we recommend within 24 hours of a lead

What ThreadLight is not

  • Not a referral service or clearinghouse
  • Not for one-off marketing campaigns
  • Not for practices unwilling to receive user feedback

Geographic scope

  • Launching in the Philadelphia metro area
  • Expanding to other Pennsylvania regions next
  • Additional states on the roadmap. Join the waitlist to hear first

From user request to connection, in four steps.

Here's the mechanics of every match, start to finish. No hidden steps.

1
A user reaches out. Someone texts ThreadLight looking for a therapist, SLP, OT, or other specialist who understands their needs.
2
ThreadLight matches. We identify providers who fit the user's support category, location, insurance, and stated preferences.
3
The user chooses. Only after the user explicitly confirms they want to connect with you do we send your contact info their way, or theirs to you.
4
You reach out. You contact the user directly, as you would any other prospective client.

How we route leads, in plain English.

Your affirming care signal is how ThreadLight learns which providers our users are most likely to thrive with. It tilts matching toward providers whose practice is most affirming for the person in front of us.

What shapes your signal

  • How affirming your practice is for autistic adults and families
  • Responsiveness to leads
  • Accuracy of your listing (specialties, insurance, availability)

What does not shape your signal

  • Which insurance carriers you accept
  • How long your sessions are
  • Whether users become long-term clients

How to strengthen it: invest in ongoing professional development around autism-affirming practice, create space for clients to show up as themselves without masking, respond to leads quickly, keep your listing current, and be honest about what you offer and who you serve.

If it drops: you'll see fewer matches. That's a cue to course-correct, not a penalty.

If something feels off: contact us and we'll review the data behind it together.

What ThreadLight is, and isn't.

We state this the same way publicly as we do in the Provider Agreement.

ThreadLight is

  • A technology platform
  • A connection service for licensed providers and the users who choose them

ThreadLight is not

  • A referral service
  • A medical practice or clearinghouse
  • A directory of "recommended" providers
  • A party to your clinical relationships

We don't vet clinical fit. Users choose who they want to connect with. Your professional relationship with any user who contacts you is entirely yours. We have no role in it once the lead is passed.

The relationship with the user:

The user is not your client until you make them one.
We will never ask you for details about your clients.
If the user becomes your ongoing client, that's between you two.

When a lead isn't right, we credit you back.

Summary below.

A Lead is Invalid if…

  • The phone number is wrong or disconnected
  • The same user was sent to you within the last 90 days
  • There was a platform error on our end
  • User-side fraud is confirmed

A Lead is not Invalid if…

  • The user didn't respond to your outreach
  • The user chose a different provider
  • The user wasn't a good clinical fit
  • The user couldn't afford your fee

How to dispute: email disputes@threadlight.ai or use the portal form within 7 days of receiving the lead. Include any supporting evidence.

Review timeline: 10 business days.

How credits work: approved disputes become account credit, applied to future leads. No cash refunds.

What we collect, what we share, and what we don't.

Users text ThreadLight and tell us what they're looking for: support category, general location, insurance carrier, stated preferences.
Users give explicit consent each time before their info is shared with any specific provider.
We send you only what's needed to contact the user: name, phone, support category, insurance carrier, region.
We never send clinical diagnoses, medical records, or billing information. We don't collect those things.
What you do with the Lead data is governed by the Provider Agreement: contact the user, don't share it, don't market with it, don't sell it.
If there's a data breach on your side, notify us within 72 hours.

Provider responsibilities.

A condensed version of the warranties and use limitations in the Provider Agreement, so there are no surprises.

Hold a current, valid, unrestricted license in your practice state.
Carry professional liability insurance.
Keep your listing accurate: specialties, insurances, availability, travel radius.
Respond to leads promptly: we recommend within 24 hours.
Tell us within 10 business days if your license status changes, you receive a disciplinary action, you're excluded from a federal healthcare program, or your insurance lapses.
Use Lead data only to contact that specific user about the service they sought. Don't add them to mailing lists, don't share them, don't sell them.
Stop contacting a user if they ask you to.

Frequently asked questions.

Can I pause without canceling?

Yes. Saying that you are not accepting new clients pauses your account. No cancellation required. Turn it back on whenever you're ready.

Can I see my affirming care signal?

Yes. It's visible in the provider portal, along with the inputs that shape it. We're actively iterating on how frequently it updates and how transparent the breakdown is.

What happens if my license is suspended?

ThreadLight will suspend your account immediately upon learning of a license change. You are required to notify us within 10 business days of any change to your license status.

Can I use the lead data for my newsletter?

No. Lead data can only be used to contact that specific user about the specific service they sought. It cannot be added to mailing lists, shared with third parties, or used for any other marketing.
